All of the events are happening right downtown, or close to downtown. Here is a map of the events, including parking. Fireworks Saturday night are just north of downtown at the Bogue Flats Recreation Area. The Music Through the Ages event is at the Bandshell at Two-Rivers Park on the north side of the Looking Glass River off Divine Highway.
This map shows public accessible restrooms available at City Hall and Toan Park. The restrooms at the Red Mill Pavilion and Bogue Flats north of downtown (fireworks and parade lineup) are also handicap accessible. Two Rivers Park has a portable restroom that is not wheelchair accessible.
The Bandshell is about 2-1/2 blocks from the corner of Bridge and Kent Streets downtown. Walk north on Kent Street, cross Grand River at the light, turn left to the boardwalk on the west side of Fabiano’s parking lot, turn right along the boardwalk and cross the river at the pedestrian bridge, and there you are.
Bogue Flats is about 7/10’s of a mile. From Bridge and Kent Streets, cross the Grand River at the Veteran’s Bridge, and immediately turn right onto the Rivertrail at Toan Park. Follow the Rivertrail underneath Grand River Avenue, and continue on the trail to The Red Mill. Turn right on Bud Plant Drive, and the Flats are straight ahead.
Oh, gosh, yes! Vendors will be available for Carnival-style foods throughout downtown, including Root Beer, Lemonade, Caramel and Kettle Corn, Carmel & Candy Apples, etc. Downtown also has restaurants, a brewery, pizza places, ice-cream shops, and so on. You will be well-fed!
There will be an information booth at the corner of Bridge and Kent Streets in the heart of things.
There will be a constantly-updating electronic display in the window at the Escape Room, 100 E Bridge St, on the southeast corner of Bridge and Kent Streets.
